Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in the ITV soap, earns thousands of extra pounds a year touring bingo clubs up and down the country. Viewers with a good memory might remember him taking the role of a bingo caller in the Weatherfield soap, back in 2005. However, his stint as compère was cut short when everyone's favourite matriarch, Vera Duckworth, accused him of cheating.
It seems the 39-year-old got a taste for calling the numbers and now regularly draws the balls in front of packed-out bingo halls all around Britain. Speaking about his passion for the game, he said: "I love bingo. My character was a bingo caller for a while, so I've done my fair share of visits to bingo halls."
A friend of Cotton's went further, saying: "He absolutely loves bingo - not just calling the numbers but playing it as well. He's the perfect compère who runs the show and chucks in his humour along the way." Sounds like Antony has the perfect career to fall back on if he ever decides to turn his back on the Street.
Not content with just the occasional appearance at the local bingo hall, Cotton recently set himself a gruelling, day-long bingo hall challenge. From his home in Manchester the first stop was the North East, visiting bingo clubs in Ashington, North Shields and Byker to call the numbers. After this was a dash right across the country to Cumbria, to attend a bingo hall in Barrow to pick the balls in front of a sold-out audience - clearly he's a devoted bingo fan!
Antony is no stranger to life outside the Street, and is certainly not afraid of a challenge. In 2007, he won the series Soapstar Superstar and just missed out on a place in the final of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, finishing fourth in 2011.
