Here at I-Love-Bingo we are keen to keep you up to date with some of the great offers at the UK bingo sites. However the odd time something which is not bingo related may make its way in here because it deserves a mention, like Google Animal Translate.
So firstly to let you know about what’s happening over at Posh Bingo for April Fool’s Day. They are offering you a 101% bingo deposit bonus all day long. As if that is not enough temptation Posh Bingo are also giving away TV series DVDs for whomever bingos the most or wagers the most on any bingo pattern today.
If you have already been online today checking out your favourite bingo sites you may have already noticed Google Animal Translate.
Now being the proud owner of four cats and two dogs (I know it is a bit much….) this really tickled my fancy. Google Animal Translate is supposed to offer a vocal dictionary which converts from English into animal sounds.
As there has been no official announcement on the tool people are assuming that this is Google’s April Fools’ prank.
Here is what Google say about it:
“Making the world's information universally accessible is a key goal for Google. Language is one of our biggest challenges so we have targeted our efforts on removing language barriers between the species. We are excited to introduce Translate for Animals; an Android application which we hope will allow us to better understand our animal friends. We've always been a pet-friendly company at Google, and we hope that Translate for Animals encourages greater interaction and understanding between animal and human.”
When I checked out the instructions from Google as to how to use their new tool I was rather amused to see the Pro Tip:
Pro Tip: As a general rule the higher up in the food chain an animal is, the better a communicator it will be. So if you are after quick witted banter it’s best to select cats and dogs rather than rabbits, hamsters and guinea pigs.(Herbivores and omnivores are not known for their linguistic ability. Although it has been discovered that tortoises have expansive general knowledge.)
Anyhow I am off now to get my 101% bingo deposit bonus at Posh Bingo.
