Virgin Bingo is the online bingo offering from the Virgin Group, pioneered by that lovely beardy guy who likes to fly in hot air balloons! As you would expect from a brand with a reputation for fun, it’s a very slick site with bingo games running on the reputable VirtueFusion software and a massive array of other games to try.

Virgin Bingo ’s site is bright without being gaudy, making liberal use of the famous Virgin red alongside some calmer purples and blues. The bingo lobby itself is simple and easy to navigate, whilst the main site itself also allows you the option to try out their similarly classy Casino and Poker products.

Virgin have obviously put a lot of thought into the way the website is structured and it shows in their attractive and intuitive site.

Sign Up Bonuses

VirginBingo offers a straightforward 100% first deposit bonus for amounts from £5 up to £20. Just deposit and play any amount between these figures on bingo and the same amount will be automatically credited to your account.

For first deposit amounts above £20, they will credit you with an additional 50% cash match. So for example, if your first deposit was £40, they would credit you with (£20*100%) + (£20*50%) = £30 total bonus. The maximum total bonus you can receive is £100.

This is a decent sign-up offer, although when testing it myself I found there was a slight delay between staking my initial deposit amount and being credited with my bonus. The requirement to wager your money on bingo games only might also put off some players who want to try out the other games before depositing more.

Virgin Bingo also offers a generous refer-a-friend bonus with an equivalent value of £10 as part of their excellent V*POINTS scheme (more on which later).

Security/ Registration/ Cashier

Virgin Bingo’s site has excellent security, with all registration and games pages using https connections for your protection.

Registering an account really couldn’t be easier. The forms are well-designed with clear prompts; the whole thing only took me a couple of minutes.

The cashier is also easy to manage, although payment options are restricted to credit/debit cards and Neteller and you have to call them up if you want to alter your details, which is fine for UK players but might present a few problems to others.

On the positive side, this means that Virgin are able to offer a single wallet across Virgin Bingo, Virgin Casino and Virgin Poker, which works really well and is great if you fancy chancing your arm at something different.

Withdrawals are usually processed within 3-5 days. 

Customer Service

On paper, Virgin Bingo offers a great array of support options including email, a free phone number for customers in the UK, a ‘call back’ service whereby they ring you and a live chat service.

However, when I tested the live chat option, the first time the person wasn’t very helpful with my query, and the next time the service seemed to be down. My email enquiry was also not dealt with within 2 hours as promised on the site, which was disappointing.

Promotions

Promotions at Virgin Bingo are divided into daily offers and a bigger weekly one.

The daily promotions are well-conceived and include free and penny bingo, money back on your bingo losses, guaranteed jackpot games and a free daily scratchcard, all of which help to provide superb value for money for regular players.

Meanwhile, the weekly promotion at the time of writing is a prize draw to win an exciting trip for two to Paris, open to anyone who spends £10 in one of their most popular bingo rooms.

Virgin’s V*POINTS loyalty scheme also deserves a special mention for innovation. Any money you wager across Virgin Bingo, Virgin Casino or Virgin Poker is converted into points which can then either be converted into cash or spent on a host of other Virgin products including airmiles and gift experiences, or even put towards a charity donation which is a nice touch.

Bingo Games

Virgin Bingo operates on the popular VirtueFusion software, and anyone who has played on another one of their sites will know what to expect. Whilst perhaps not the prettiest to look at, it offers an excellent choice of bingo rooms and games, including 90-, 80- and 75-ball plus Deal or No Deal and speed bingo variants, as well as side-games and slots galore.

The fact that it is part of a large network means that there are always plenty of players online, which can be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it! With frequent free bingo and penny bingo promotions, as well as plenty of 2p and 5p games throughout the day, this represents excellent value for money.
